Synopsis:

In the opening novel of The Iris Chronicles, Iris, a young woman born into a lineage steeped in dark magic. Despite her inherited lineage, Iris exudes an innate warmth and kindness that seems out of place in her environment. Her name, Iris, symbolizes the myriad meanings of the iris flower—each color representing the spectrum of her life's journey and her connection as a messenger between unseen and seen worlds. 
 
The shadows of Iris lead her on a path where she discovers her heritage and the dark legacy she’s inherited. An ancient prophecy foretells her unique destiny: to transform darkness into light. Her journey begins with the unraveling of her family's secrets which extend beyond timelines. Along her journey she encounters a mysterious mentor who guides her to understand her true purpose. This mentor introduces Iris to the concept of alchemy, not just as a magical practice but as a transformative process that can turn destruction to creation. This mentor just as mysterious as her becomes the voice she both challenges and surrenders to. 
 
As Iris delves deeper into her magical training, she learns about her ability to travel through past lives. These journeys reveal her past incarnations and the roles she has played in both perpetuating and combating darkness. She discovers that her past lives are intricately linked with the darkness she must now confront and transform.
